Membership Enrollment and Nomination of Officer Election

Dear SIG-CSLP Members,

The Special Interest Group on Chinese Spoken Language Processing (SIG-CSLP), ISCA solicits your continual support and now calls for free membership enrollment and officer nomination. Major upcoming impeding activities related to confirmed membership are SIG-CSLP officer election and the ISCSLP2008 conference. The term of incumbent officers expires by the end of the calendar year. Membership is required to nominate and to be nominated.

Three offices are open for nomination: Chairperson; Vice Chairperson; and Secretary. All members of SIG-CSLP may nominate any members for these positions. Candidates for Chairperson and Secretary shall be members in good standing of ISCA at the date of the election. All candidates must be nominated by at least two other members and must agree to be candidates.

To nominate candidates as SIG-CSLP officers, please do so by e-mail to the SIG-CSLP secretary.

The closing date of membership enrollment is June 15, 2008. The closing date of nomination is July 31, 2008. Once the list of candidates has been established you will be informed by email by the end of Sept. 15, 2008 of the list of candidates and the procedure for voting.
